As should be obvious from up there ⬆️, I’m Gustavo Aguilera. Some of what I’ve done:
- Been a developer for holy shit it’s already 10 years.
- Worked as CTO of two tech startups (YEiPii and tiigre) and co-founded tiigre.
- Taught at the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello (UCAB) and realized I love teaching.
- Graduated as Telecommunications Engineer from UCAB, and got a Master’s degree on Big Data and Business Analytics from Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM).
- Worked a bunch with data at different companies (Telefónica Tech, Telefónica Global Solutions, Tiigre, YEiPii).
- Designed and built a bunch of systems (Tiigre, Venti, probably some other made up words (aren’t they all?)).
What I’m doing right now probably depends on my current ADHD hyperfixation hobby. Some past/present ones include:
- Building smart homes.
- 3D printing.
- Building my Linux homelab.
- Cooking.
- Understanding how LLMs work, what they’re good for and what they’re
shitbad at. - Configuring Termux as a Linux terminal emulator for Android.
- Configuring my text editor (Neovim).
- Python / Django / Tailwind / Go / Docker / Kubernetes / SQLite / whatever new tech I find
- Sci-Fi (and/or reading in general).
- Split ergonomical mechanical programmable keyboards.
